Week O Goodness

Another installment to:

The Week 'O Goodness

T - unit!!
Got to go to the Timpanogas Temple with some of my closest teammates. As always it was so good to be there, and also special because it was the last time we all would see each other for the summer. - Hard to say goodbye but we all know we're going to the right places.  I love you Shantel, Auna and Myriah!

Ok not gonna lie saying goodbye to Myriah was kinda tough.  We've gotten so close over the years, we've been so lucky to have played with one of our best friends in the world.  When things got tough Ry was always there to comfort and help me.  I am so blessed.
Ry and I have always been "temple buddies" and just like old times this time she locked her keys in her car . . . with her lights on . . . just like before.  Luckily this time we didn't have to spend an hour trying to jump her car.
Lovin the sunrise as always.
So me and Linds had planned to slumber on a different night.  But instead it ended up that I just never went home (kinda bad I know, but I mean when it's your last week with your best friend there are some exceptions) so ya we were just sitting there in the good old Irion home just talking, occasionally listening to her parents snore, and loving life. When then once again we started noticing how it was getting lighter outside - and we thought hey lets go watch the sun come up.  So we did.  Went to our bueno sunrise spot and sat back, ipod in hand, to enjoy the goodness.
Which it really was great . . .
until it got super blinding.  Thats when we decided to go back and go to sleep (only after some breakfast of course) I mean lets keep our priorities straight.

Ya we got a good nights rest of 2 1/2 hours max, then it was back to the goodness.  That night we had a pool party at Chelsie's - good times even on no sleep.  Pretty sure I did a backflip and hit my face so hard on the water that my contacts came out.

Continuing on a crusade with no sleep me and Linds slumbered at her house, with some bueno grahams and milk, a chat with Russell and attempt and failure #2 at watching The Little Mermaid.  We went to sleep early, like 2:30! But the whole not sleeping thing came back to kick me when I didn't wake up until 12:30! Ya pretty sure the boys came in at like 8 to get us to go boating with them, I said I had to much to do that day needed to "be productive".  But then before I knew it the only thing that pulled me out of my hibernation was the boys coming home. . . awesome . . . But it was thursday rap day so that kinda made up for it

So then at like 3 it was finally time to actually start the day :)

That was the day when me and Linds had some serious things to get done off the Week O Goodness list.
     - get our Ellendsay rock
     - paint that awesome rock
     - buy our watermelon
     - eat that watermelon
First it was off to Big Cottonwood to find our Rock.  For those of you that don't know, this isn't just any old rock.  This is our rock.  As in it's going to stay at Southwood forever. mmm happiness

After a long and tiresome search we finally found it.  The perfect rock.
Next up we had to go buy our watermelon, which we would eat all by ourselves (ya we're awesome like that) Plan was for each of us to have our own.  But then we got to the store and this is how the watermelons all looked:
HUGE!  Seriously the biggest of all time I swear.  So we settled for the biggest one we could find and would cut it in half.

So we strapped in our two valuables and that was that . . . safety first.

When I said this thing was HUGE  I meant it.  Ya that's right 31.4 pounds.  As in we had to weigh it at home because the scale at the checkout thing didn't go high enough.

The mission begins

It's a long process
Straws are required
And the trips to the bathroom . . .
As in running to the bathroom, over & over & over & over again.

Lets just say thats a lot of water.

Painting the rock while eating watermelon, setting up blogs & listening to bueno music.  Thats awesome.

This is an important rock, it takes lots of love and care.

Finished product.  Ya I know you're jealous.

Heck yes our first appearance with our rock, at southwood, our bueno Ellendsay t-shirts, the tree and even our cars in the background.  Ya that's right we think about all those kind of details.  Call us crazy thats ok

Ceremonial ground breaking for the rock.

The final resting place :)

After taking care of everything with the rock we had my final game of frisbee.  Mmm how I love that game!  So happy just chillin with people at southwood tossin the disc.  Not gonna lie I got a little sad that some of the boys out on missions weren't there, what can I say sometimes ya just miss em right?

Then Sunday was one of the greatest Preach My Gospel study groups of all time!  Loved having the boys there, so bueno to hear there different perspective and just learn from them.  That is for sure one of the greatest blessings of my life - that I've been able to learn so much from my amazing friends.  The Lord has truly been teaching me through them.  I love them so much.  I'm so proud of the great things they are going to accomplish.  Watch out world there are some awesome people about to come and show you what life is really all about.  Missions, college or even the ones who still have some time in High School, ya they're pretty much some of the most amazing people to ever be.  I love you guys, thank you so much, you changed my life, you made me better and you made me laugh along the way.

A week of goodness indeed! I'm so glad Lindsay has you for a friend! You are quite an incredible girl! I love that you girls buired that rock at Southwood. Pretty sure you made it a better place just by doing that. I hope I can be like you girls when I grow up. :) Much love!

Oh what in the world is Lindsay going to do without her other other half (We have to give Russ SOME credit, I guess;)

Loved the rock, and especially the whole watermelon bit (have you even been tempted to have some since?!?!) But especially love how good you and Linds have been to and for each other.

You are loved by all the Irion's--no matter where you are in this world! Good luck as you take on this new adventure in school!
