When I was a kid...
my hero's scored lots of goals, won championships or were exceptionally brave in whatever Disney adventure movie I was currently obsessed with.
And in our world there are people to admire, they save lives, spread smiles world wide or overcome struggle after struggle like this angelic woman.
But if you ask me, the REAL hero's in my life are the people who are with you day in and day out. They help you through the boring and mundane. Filling each of your days with light when you're fighting hard just to keep a spark of light. They share themselves with you, real & unguarded, being completely giving of themselves.
They make me smile, they make me laugh.
They let me know I can keep going, that tomorrow will be even better than today.
They don't care if you win or if you fail, all they want to know is if you had fun.
Sometimes they know they're a hero, sometimes they don't.
A real hero is someone who saves your life, every day.
And this lady is pretty much my number one :)
