Salute to Summer

I'm back from Hawaii, loved it by the way, we didn't win regionals - lost 1-0 - and thats all we need to say about it :) but more to come on Hawaii later, great stories and pictures.

But after my return I'm lovin good ol' summertime. Today I slept til noon, I think it was the jetlag that i thought i didn't have kicking in.  I was supposed to be at the gym at 7:30 :S bummer.  But legit tomorrow it's early rising. Yesterday I just chilled with my best friend, good old Ellendsay just sitting, talking, eating, listening to music thats "totally creepin our lives" meaning relates almost to0 perfectly, top that off with us falling asleep for a bueno nap and you've got a classic sumer afternoon.  mmm mmm good

Then later I was on my way to meet some peoples, driving through the most confusing neighborhood of all time, and it was swarming with kids on bikes, trikes, scooters, rollerblades and the like. Lets be straight up honest - I was jealous of them. 

Alot.

Livin free just doing whatever, that's what it was all about.  Living for bikes & swimming & snowcones, camping in the backyard, sprinklers & nightgames. Oh the nightgames - near and dear to my heart. Sweet heavenly goodness right there.

So i've recommitted to summer, not that I didn't ever love it, and I mean love.  But really big time - the next 37 days, give or take, til I move are going to be full of adventure, just try and stop me, but I'd only suggest it if you enjoy failing :) 

Adventures my friend, hit one everyday, that's what summers all about.

One of my favorite summer adventures, Brooke and I wanted to go canoe the jordan river last summer.  Problem was we had no way to get the somewhat large canoe from my house down to the river. Luckily we had some trusty boy scouts Logan and CJ with us.  CJ said "just put it on top of Brooke's car"  - I laughed, "are you kidding me?" understand Brookes car, (Veronica bless her rusted soul) is old and junkie and somewhat fragile - but we figured all the more reason to load up the canoe! So with a ton of rope and some seriously slow driving we made it to the river.

Adventure?
