Let the week of goodness begin

Alright, the Week O' Goodness
Sunday night Lindsay and I decided that we better make our last week of summer together  a good one.  So being the nerds that we are, we planned the whole thing out.  We've got a list and we WILL do everything on it.  Sadly day one couldn't involve Linds :( just because it was planned forever ago.  But still Monday definitely qualified as  worthy of Week O Goodness status. As always, pictures galore, enjoy.

First, went up with Adam Ruben to go fourwheeling. - Lets just say that was a good choice.  We had a blast! His grandparents were nice enough to let us take their ATV's - and then going above and beyond are letting us do it again next week! Bueno.

Beware of helmet hair in this next picture, but hurray for self timer!

There were these wildflower fields everywhere! They we so pretty! Once again loved it! Actually I was lovin it so much that while we were driving up and going past them i got a little excited, and the window was rolled down and somehow I let our map fly out of my hand and right out the window! whoops. Don't worry we found it :)

So ya hanging out with Adam all day was great! Gotta love spending some time in nature too right? That alone would have been enough to qualify for the Week O Goodness.  But would Ellen stop there? Obviously not.  So that night . . . . . . drumroll please . . . . . . .

John Mayer concert with the siblings!!!
(Try and control that green monster wihin you)
That's right me and Val took Ben to see John Mayer as a wedding gift - best choice of gift ever!
Hanging out with the siblings couldn't be better!  Its just so fun to spend time together, and as usual HILARIOUS!

Ben said this face summed up his anticipation, excitement etc
We are so cool . . . . I mean who wouldn't want to BE us?
This was me and Val hoping with every fiber of our beings that he would play Stop This Train for his encore thing.

And this is us after he didn't.

Me and John :)
But despite no stoppin this train I still loved it!  Two big thumbs up as you can see.
Really though it was such an amazing concert.  Colbie Caillat opened, which was cool.  But oh my John Mayer!  What an artist, performer, entertainer.  Like this isn't one of those concerts where you leave going "well its kinda like I just paid 30 bucks to listen to a cd I already own".  Even though yes I own all those songs, he does it so different live, and wow when he just goes off with his guitar!  Absolutely lovin it.
But ya, wow.  He is so prolific, so many fantastic songs. wow mom mow wom.  Basically to sum up my opinion of his music -
Speakin to my soul.  Loud and clear.

O and Ben loved it :) . . . mission accomplished
Ya, you might say we had a good time
