PMG!

Alright first of all can I say that this book is one of the coolest things I have ever encountered in my entire existence.  And believe me I've encountered some cool stuff.  But this book is so powerful.  It doesn't matter if you're not even going on a mission, or have already been on a mission or whatever - it can help you!  I truly consider it scripture, it's completely inspired and is SO specific for our time and our struggles.  If you don't have one, I promise you want one.

This book has done so much for me.  So many of my prayers have been answered in its pages.  It has strengthened my testimony, taught me new concepts, clarified and brought out the power in common principles.  It has enabled the spirit to be more active in my life.

On top of all that goodness Preach My Gospel has been a tool for the Lord to do something I could not do myself. Elaborate? Ya ok. 

During our senior year my closest friends in the world were struggling.  All of us.  At the same time.  And with the initial struggles we were the only one's that could get each other through it.  So then right after that we drifted in a weird way.  There was no dramatic "event" or incidence, it was just kind of the flow of life.  But through that time when some of us weren't quite as close it was so difficult for all of us.  We knew we needed each other but at the same time we were all being taught important lessons by the Lord that we couldn't have learned without the separation, and in some cases we were literally needed by others. Anyway, sorry for the spiel, but the bottom line was that Preach My Gospel was what brought us back together.

With about 4-5 months left of our Senior year the 5 of us decided that we would study PMG together on Sunday nights.  Best. Decision. Ever.  The lessons I learned from these dear sisters have been invaluable.  We would talk and learn and truly just experience the Lords love for hours.  Our ever important friendships became even stronger than before.  How could they not when we sat and learned from each other about the most important things in existence?  So many times we would burst out with a huge smile, maybe even laughing saying "wow the Lord is totally speaking to me through you right now".  The goodness just got better and better each week.  I just feel so grateful that the Lord guided us to be able to have those kind of experiences together.

One sunday we went to a Sheri Dew fireside downtown.

These are special friendships, the kind that no matter how many times people tell you "well everything changes after High School" you know that even though scenarios will change they will always be like your sister.
